- R 2.4.1: R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics.
It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS. [Site]
- Stellarium 0.8.2: Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer.
It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go. [Site]

- GDAL 1.4.2:
GDAL is a translator library for raster geospatial data formats that
is released under an X/MIT style Open Source license by the Open
Source Geospatial Foundation. As a library, it presents a single
abstract data model to the calling application for all supported
formats. It also comes with a variety of useful commandline utilities

- KDM Theme Manager: KDM Theme manager is just what it says a theme Manager for KDM. This control module allows you to easily add, remove and select any KDM theme you want. [Site]
- Moodin Engine: Splash Screen Engine for KDE. Heavily customizable engine for various types of themes. [Site]
- DCRAW program interface for KDE: Libkdcraw is a C++ interface around dcraw binary program used to decode RAW picture files. The library documentation is available on header files. This library is used by kipi-plugins, digiKam and others kipi host programs. [Site]
- RKWard 0.4.8: Data Analysis Tool.
RKWard is an easy to use, transparent frontend to the R programming language, a very powerful, yet hard-to-get-into scripting-language with a strong focus on statistic functions. RKWard tries to combine the power of the R-language with the ease of use of commercial statistical packages. [Site]
- GGobi 2.1.7: GGobi is an open source visualization program for exploring high-dimensional data.
It provides highly dynamic and interactive graphics such as tours, as well as familiar graphics such as the scatterplot, barchart and parallel coordinates plots. Plots are interactive and linked with brushing and identification. [Site]

- SIP 4.7.1: SIP is a tool that makes it very easy to create Python bindings for C and C++ libraries.
It was originally developed to create PyQt, the Python bindings for the Qt toolkit, but can be used to create bindings for any C or C++ library. [Site]
- PyQt 4.3.1: PyQt is a set of Python bindings for Trolltech's Qt application framework.
It runs on all platforms supported by Qt including Windows, MacOS/X and Linux. There are two sets of bindings: PyQt v4 supports Qt v4; and the older PyQt v3 supports Qt v3 and earlier. The bindings are implemented as a set of Python modules and contain over 300 classes and nearly 6,000 functions and methods. [Site]

QGIS supports vector, raster, and database formats. QGIS is licensed under the GNU General Public License. QGIS lets you browse and create map data on your computer and includes support for many common spatial data formats (e.g. ESRI ShapeFile, GeoTIFF).
